In short
RRB Gorakhpur has called two candidates for Scientific Assistant (Training) and Scientific Supervisor (Ergonomics and Training) for DV on 19 November 2026, with the medical the next day. The block date is 27 November.
RRB Gorakhpur has called two candidates for document verification and the medical under CEN 08/2025, for Category 6, Scientific Assistant (Training), and Category 8, Scientific Supervisor (Ergonomics and Training). DV is on 19 November 2026 at the RRB office on Railway Station Road, Gorakhpur, with reporting at 9 am. The notice is No. 32/2026, dated 4 November. The PDF is linked below. It's in Hindi only.
The two roll numbers called are:
- 1982531500032946
- 1982511200028819
The notice doesn't say which roll number is for which post. Your DV e-call letter will have the details. RRB says it's sending SMS and email alerts for the e-call letter, but check the website yourself rather than waiting for a message.
Upload your documents first
Before the DV, upload clear scans of all your documents, plus a colour scan of your passport-size photo and signature, on the RRB DV portal, oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv. The portal opens 10 days before your DV date and stays open until the day itself. By my count that's from around 9 November for a 19 November DV.
On the day, bring all your original documents and two sets of A4 photocopies, as listed in the CEN and your e-call letter.
Plan for a few days in Gorakhpur
The medical is the day after DV, so 20 November, at a nominated railway hospital in RRB Gorakhpur's area. RRB says to come ready to stay more than four days for DV and the medical, at your own cost. The medical fee is just Rs 24, and the hospital can't ask for anything more. The exception is a test the railway hospital can't do itself, like a CT scan, an ultrasound or a check for past eye surgery. You may have to pay an outside lab or hospital for that.
Being called for DV doesn't mean you've got the job. Your candidature is still provisional, and it can be cancelled at any stage if something in your online application doesn't match your documents.
If you can't make it on the 19th
The block date for anyone who misses the regular DV is 27 November 2026. If you miss both dates, your candidature is cancelled, and RRB won't take any letters about it.
Scientific Assistant (Training) has come up again in the new Isolated Categories notification, CEN 09/2026. It has one post under RRB Gorakhpur, and applications are open until 4 December.
RRB Gorakhpur's phone number is (0551) 2208009. Selection is done entirely by computer and on merit, so don't trust anyone who offers to get you through for money.
