RRBSetu is built so that you can use it without an account and without giving us personal information. This page explains the little we do collect and why.
What we collect
- Your RRB choice is saved in a cookie on your device so we can show your zone's updates first. It contains only the RRB's name.
- Mock test answers are stored on our server with a random ID tied to your browser session, so you can resume a test and see your result. They aren't linked to your name or contact details, and are deleted after 6 months.
- Messages you send through the contact form: the message, the page it was about, and your name and email only if you choose to give them. We also keep a one-way hash of your IP address to stop spam. Resolved messages are deleted after a year.
- Light/dark theme and your cookie choice are saved only in your browser's local storage.
- Server logs (IP address, page, time) are kept briefly for security and to fix errors.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site working: a session cookie, a security (CSRF) cookie and the RRB preference. These don't need your consent.
If analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics cookies only after you allow them in the cookie banner. Analytics helps us understand which pages are useful. IP addresses are anonymised. You can change your choice any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
What we don't do
- We never ask for your RRB registration number, password or payment details.
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
- We don't create accounts for visitors.
Third parties
Links to official RRB websites, Telegram and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Fonts are served from our own server.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information you've sent us, such as a message. Contact us at imkrishna1828@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
RRBSetu is meant for job aspirants. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
