In short
The ALP CBAT that was postponed at four centres, and the retest for candidates hit by glitches on 30 October, are both on 12 November (third shift). If you take the retest, your old score no longer counts.
RRB has put out a fresh notice for the ALP CBAT under CEN 01/2025, dated 3 November 2026. Two sets of candidates are being called back for the CBAT on 12 November, third shift. One set never got to write it, and the other did write it but ran into technical trouble. The rules aren't the same for both, so read the part that applies to you. The PDF is linked below.
If your CBAT was postponed
The test was called off at four centres. RRB only says this was due to "exigency conditions" and doesn't give a reason. The TC codes are 9417, 9208, 7954 and 30677. You'll find the TC code on your call letter.
If you were booked at one of these and didn't get to write, your new date is 12 November, third shift.
Don't forget the Vision Certificate. It has to be in the Annexure VI A format from the CEN 01/2025 notification, and RRB won't let you in without it. Look at the seal on it as well. It needs to say the doctor is an ophthalmologist, or that they work as the Eye Specialist at that hospital. If yours just has a doctor's name and hospital stamp, get it redone before the 12th. You don't want to be arguing about it at the gate.
If you wrote it on 30 October and had technical problems
RRB checked the exam logs from 30 October. Candidates at some centres who were badly hit by technical problems are being allowed to write again on 12 November, third shift.
The notice doesn't name the centres. RRB is emailing the candidates it has picked instead, so keep checking your inbox, and the spam folder too. You won't need a Vision Certificate this time.
Before you say yes, though, there's a catch. Once you write the CBAT again on the 12th, only that score counts. Your 30 October marks are dropped, even if they were better. If you don't turn up, RRB goes with your 30 October result. So if the glitch only cost you a few minutes and you felt the paper went well, it may be safer to stay with what you have. If it really wrecked your attempt, take the second chance.
RRB has also said it won't accept any more representations on this. This is the only extra date.
Admit card dates
The exam city and date link will be up on the RRB websites by 4 November. SC/ST candidates can download their travel authority from the same link. Call letters come out 4 days before the exam, so expect yours around 8 November.
Get these only from the official RRB sites. And if someone calls offering to "manage" your selection for money, hang up. RRB has repeated in this notice that selection goes purely by merit in the computer-based tests.
